Entering the Void, 2021
I worked on the territory of the Bellecroix district. Around the hill, there is a city: a large avenue and ongoing construction work. Yet when I enter the woods, the noise of civilization and the glaring light begin to fade. Ironically, because of its geography, the higher one climbs the hill and looks down at the city, the more one realizes that it surrounds us. I became aware of this contrast.
At night, the contrast becomes even clearer.
I see a cluster of stars through the urban noise and the signals of city lights, intersected by the dark silhouettes of trees. What does all of this mean? I search in vain for an answer as I move farther away from the city, away from civilization, and gradually enter the void.
